The Big Climb - Volunteer Information

Can't make it?: Please let us know by emailing volunteer@theworldisfun.org - it will help us plan accordingly.

Where to go: The Big Climb is held at the Columbia Tower in downtown Seattle at 701 5th Ave, Seattle, WA 98104.

Is there parking? This event is downtown so parking can be difficult to find and will likely be paid. We recommend public transportation for this event if possible.

When to go: You will want to arrive on-site at the time of your scheduled shift. If you cannot remember the shift time that you registered for, you can look for your shift confirmation from Universe or email volunteer@theworldisfun.org. If you arrive late for your volunteer shift, we may not be able to accommodate you.

How to find us: This is a big event and there may be lots of people in the building. Upon arrival simply ask anyone that is working the event (they will be wearing special t-shirts) for the Volunteer Check-In area/Volunteer Booth and they will guide you to us.

TWIF Lead: We have a TWIF Lead at every event to lead the volunteer group. They will be your go-to person for everything you need during the event.

What to bring: You must have proper identification with you to volunteer. A water bottle and a snack are also never a bad idea. This event does not have any secured storage so please only bring what you can carry on your person.

What to wear: You will be provided with an official event volunteer t-shirt to wear. You may also want to wear comfortable shoes as you will likely be on your feet during your shift.

Will we be inside or outside? Inside

Can I bring a friend? We still need volunteers for this event and we would appreciate any efforts you make in helping us find more volunteers. Feel free to tell your friends and co-workers - just make sure they register for a shift here

How does this help? Proceeds from this event go to the The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!

Age Requirement: 18+

Documentation: Upon request, we will gladly supply you with documentation for your volunteer hours for work or school purposes. We do NOT, however, provide court documentation. We do not believe that volunteering is a punishment and under no circumstances will we provide documentation for court-ordered community service.

Training: Our team will be there to show you everything you need to know upon arrival!
