The One Month Mark

It’s hard to believe it but I have now lived in Seattle for one month. I am actually so comfortable here that it seems like it has been much longer and when I think back, I don’t know why I didn’t move here years ago.

The last month has been pretty insane. I have been able to mark some pretty good things off the list, I have amazing friends here and I have painted, obtained furniture for, and settled into my apartment quite nicely. There are a few things that have happened that I would have never dreamt. First off, its cold and rainy here. However, after aquiring some rain gear, it doesn’t seem to bother me in the slightest. Oddly enough, I found myself heading out to go shopping the other day on my moped while it was raining. This is something I would have never done in Richmond in the rain and in this case I never thought anything about it.

I’ve also got a job that I am really excited about. I drink more coffee than before which may explain my hyperness yet I sleep better at night. I don’t watch television and I don’t miss it at all.

Theres a few other things that I am really excited about in Seattle too but typing all of that would be too much.

On the other side of that, there are some negatives. I miss my sister Kim. We did get real close before I left. I have been drinking more wine since I moved here and I attribute that to the three weeks of living in her house before I moved.

I also miss some of my friends in Richmond and it makes me really happy that I do still here from them. The time change has made things a bit tricky because around the time that I am getting off of work its sometimes to late to call. I really mis my long ramblings with Erich. They still exist, they just take longer and that’s sometimes a bummer.

Oh, and Zach is now just three hours away in Portland, yet he won’t come visit – booo. [I also haven't been to visit him]

Overall, Seattle is the best place on earth.
