Beards, Bashes & Beyond Newsletter 2.17.2011

Hello all, Beard and Stache Fest has officially reached the half-way mark; there are still drinks to drink, games to play, [bearded] faces to see, and hungry donation cans to be fed. Come hang out or volunteer, and be sure not to miss the culmination of it all at the awards gala! Beards and staches aside, check out these other exciting opportunities – dancing and skiing may be included.

The Biggest Event of Them All

The Beard and Stache Fest Gala

Join us this Sunday, March 6 to check out who won the third annual Beard and Stache Fest! Fabulous prizes will be awarded to the top three contestants as well as to the top team of five. But wait, there’s more! This event will feature a killer dance performance by Bearded Rhythm, a “special unbearding,” and for those of us who had the misfortune of being biologically excluded from this contest, there will be a Bearded Lady competition! It’s time to get creative and construct a beard from the material of your choosing (registration on-site). Some come on over, make your final donations, and get hairy with us one last time!  More details…

This remix really is better than the original.

YWCA Adopt-a-Unit

Put your decorating, shopping, and tidying skills to work and help us make a house into a home for YWCA Adopt-a-Unit! We will be in charge of cleaning, arranging furniture, stocking the unit with supplies such as cookware and bed linens, stocking the cupboards with food staples, as well as providing some personal decorative touches to make the bland interior design look inviting and homey to new families.
