Holy smokes – last Saturday was a nice day in Seattle, right? Despite the nice weather, 14 awesome volunteers showed up at Treehouse Wearhouse to help sort and tag clothing as well as get the store ready for the new school year! We had a great turn out of some old TWIF veterans as well as some first timers including the Treehouse volunteers. The crew successfully plowed through a huge amount of donations from that morning, tracking down the bad, the tattered, and the very, very ugly. A few gems of the morning were feathered boas and a pair of leather chaps. Those items were sorted out, needless to say, and can most likely be found at your neighborhood Goodwill!
After a quick lunch break and refueling on sushi, sandwiches, and veggies, we got back to work tagging clothes, shoes, toys, and back-to-school items in order to help Treehouse keep an accurate account of their inventory. During the event, we got to know each other a little better and a few of us will even be volunteering together again in the upcoming weeks and months! Overall, a pretty successful event, I’d say!
And lastly, a huge thanks to Treehouse and all our volunteers for making it an amazing way to spend my Saturday morning!
Thanks for the laughs!
