TWIF Brunch Club - it’s a chance to get some breakfast on while catching up with your favorite people, fellow TWIF Members! However, what happens when you take an already great model and add in a little something extra? Say….bowling?
To say bowling and brunch is the greatest Sunday morning combination to ever have been invented might be an overstatement, but not by much.
Our crew arrived at the High Strike Grill in West Seattle and we were escorted to our own private dining room. (Just kidding. It was a bar area that was near the bowling lanes, just downstairs from the main dining area).
We enjoyed some good, diner, greasy-spoon style breakfast complete with bacon, eggs…bacon waffles…and plenty of coffee. Oh, and did I mention there were bacon waffles?
After our hearty meal, we strapped on our bowling shoes and hit the lanes. Between the 10 of us, we prepped our bowling ball holder and somehow ended up with a lot of bowling balls. After all, you need your backup ball.
We began, and as many of my opponents creeped towards the 100s, it became painfully obvious to me that I had not played in quite some time. Thirty is an acceptable score. In golf. Maybe. But the bowling battle raged on, with cheers, tears and a final overall team score of 880 to 920 (I was on the losing side).
In the end though, fierce competition aside, it was an excellent way to take TWIF Brunch Club to a whole new level. If you’re interested in getting your brunch on with us make sure to check out our next one. They happen the second Tuesday of every month - keep an eye out on our events page for more info.
