Mark Your Calendars: TWIF Events This March

Can you believe February is almost over? Time for the month of (more) rain and shamrocks—and more TWIF! Mark your calendars now for these great upcoming events.

Pawsitive Futures: Saturday, 3/1, 5:00pm to 9:30pm

This event is already full! Get on the wait list here.

Join TWIF at the annual Pawsitive Futures benefit that helps local pets in need. There will be silent and live auctions, raffles, a dessert dash and other fun activities. Volunteers will help set up, greet attendees, assist with the live auction, games and activities. This benefit will raise money for an awesome cause—Pawsitive Alliance’s mission is to help end the killing of adoptable dogs and cats in Washington by increasing adoptions, supporting spay and neuter programs, and improving pet retention.

Bingo and Beer: Friday, 3/7, 7:00 pm

This isn’t your grandmother’s bingo. TWIF brings the famous game into the 21st century with trivia, physical challenges and tasty treats. Plus, this time we’re playing with a state-of-the-art bingo machine in our very own Ninkasi Better Living Room—meaning attendance is limited and your chances of winning are bigger!

Need more encouragement? We’re still accumulating our prizes, but so far they include gift certificates to some of our favorite local restaurants, a Ninkasi prize pack and a TWIF prize pack.
Get your tickets while they last! This fundraiser will help support our programs.

Food Bank Volunteers: Saturday, 3/29, 9:15am to 1:30pm

Join TWIF at the food bank as we inspect and organize food donations, distribute food to customers and help with other tasks. Volunteers must be able to stand for at least an hour at a time. Ability to lift at least 30 pounds is desired, but not required. Volunteers must be able to work with a diverse population and should be comfortable in loud, fast-paced and sometimes crowded environments.

In addition to meeting other volunteers you'll be doing some very important work. Did you know that over 10% of the homes in Seattle are food insecure? The Food Bank provides anyone over 18 living within Seattle City Limits with a variety of meat, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, frozen items, canned goods and more.
