Last month I wrote about my experience cooking for the youth at the Orion Center with YouthCare, as part of TWIF’s Kitchen Challenge. Although I can’t make it this Wednesday (Nov. 28th), I applaud and salute those volunteers already signed up! You’re in for an evening of rapid-fire culinary adventuring and camaraderie.
You don’t need to be a professional chef or even a foodie to excel at this Challenge—just bring your rolled up sleeves and a positive attitude. You’ll be amply rewarded for your toils as you dish up your creations for the YouthCare’s youth. You’ll know that you’re helping provide a vital service to these individuals—a hot meal on a cold Seattle night.
Don’t forget to arrive at 4:30 at the Orion Center so you can get your assignments and get cooking.
And fear not if you’re missing it this week. Stay tuned for more Kitchen Challenges in the months ahead!
