It looks like the sun is finally here to stay in Seattle, at least for a few days. Take a trip down memory lane with us as we recall all the fun TWIF had this past month!
Mobile Food Rodeo, Saturday 5/3 and Sunday, 5/4
Tacos, falafels and cupcakes, oh my! These delicious dishes and more were available to the denizens of Seattle the first weekend in May in the International District and Fremont. TWIF volunteers helped set things up and ensured that hungry attendees got the food they needed.
Barleywood Squares: Saturday, 5/10
This Seattle Beer Week Event challenged Seattle beer celebrities and a few TWIF board members with beer-related trivia. It all went down in the Walrus Beer Garden at Naked City Brewery. Check out the photos!
Hoppy Drinks on the Tiny Links: Sunday, 5/11
Right on the heels of Barleywood Squares was Hoppy Drinks on the tiny links (you can never have enough beer-related events in one weekend). TWIF folks and a handful of awesome breweries got together for mini-golf and beer samples at Interbay Golf Center. There were some pretty amazing getups to be seen.
Marra Farm, Saturday, 5/17
TWIF volunteers aren’t afraid to get dirt under their fingernails for a good cause. On Saturday, 5/17 they helped prep beds for planting and weeded out invasive species in the Giving Garden at Marra Farm. Produce from the Garden goes to the Providence Regina House Food Bank and Mien senior citizens, and also provides educational opportunities about sustainable food to local elementary school students.
