This is Not an April Fools Joke – 3/31/2011 Newsletter

Greetings!
We hope this message finds you in good spirits. A little public service reminder that tomorrow is April Fools, so do whatever it is that you do to prepare yourself for impending mischief and trickery. Otherwise, happy spring! With longer days and the general spirit of excitement and rejuvenation, despite misleading weather conditions, we hope you will feel compelled to venture out and get involved. As always, we do our best to provide you with a little inspiration.

Featured Volunteer Opportunities – Bake Sale for Japan and Bake for Hope
Capitol Hill’s CakeSpy shop provides its local and wayfaring patrons with sweet and scrumptious delights on any day that the urge may strike. Saturday, April 2 is a day like any of the others, however we’ll be spreading the sweet spirit across the Pacific to those in dire need. CakeSpy will be hosting Bake Sale for Japan, an event wherein professional and amateur bakers, cooks, artists, artisans and musicians gather to showcase their talent for a good cause. If you are any of the previous, a volunteer, or someone who simply knows a ton of potential customers, we can use your help! All proceeds go to Peace Winds Japan. Note that this is not a TWIF event, but please send your offers and inquiries to seattlebakesale@gmail.com and tell them TWIF sent you !

Bake Sale for Japan
CakeSpy – 415 E Pine Street
Saturday April 2, 9:00am to 1:00pm

Now if you can’t make it to this event, or if you just love bake sales so much that you feel the need to participate on a continued basis, we encourage you to help out with the Bake for Hope sale, for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Whether you care to bake or work the event (or both!), we’d love your help!
