Late Saturday morning, I headed out to Cle Elum. It was pretty weird for it to be the last day of May and see snow. The mountains outside Seattle are beautiful and always breathtaking. Upon arrival in Cle Elum I was lucky enough to be able to access the old Cle Elum Hospital before it gets torn down later this summer.
From what I have gathered, the hospital opened in 1905 and was closed down in the 1970′s. In 1980 it was declared a historic structure but recently, due to the failed upkeep of the building, it has been slated for demolition. Although it has been used for storage and other uses since the 1970′s, it was still interesting to see and it still contained quite a few old medical records and other hospital stuff.
