FareStart Contract Kitchen: Sunday, 6/1
FareStart is an organization that provides culinary job training opportunities for homeless and disadvantaged individuals. On Sunday, June 1st, several intrepid TWIF volunteers helped cook a meal at FareStart HQ in downtown Seattle. Check out some of the photos from the kitchen below.
Treehouse Wearhouse: Saturday, 6/7
Treehouse Wearhouse has always been a popular volunteer activity at TWIF. As a volunteer you get to sort through clothing, toy and book donations to make the best of the best available to foster kids. There’s always inevitably some unique/funny item to marvel at.
TWIF Beer Camp: Saturday, 6/21 to Sunday, 6/22
Beer Camp took place over two days in and around Winthrop Washington and combined two very PNW-y things: Beer and camping! Activities included beer pouring, mini-golfing, kangaroo-petting and llama-kissing. But don’t take my word for it, see the photographic evidence below!
