Summer in Seattle- Waterfall Garden Park

Hello again lovely readers!

Today was my second adventure for TWIF and it was really fun! The first of my instructions was to go to Waterfall Garden Park. Navigating to the park was challenging. My maps on my phone AND Google Maps on the computer both said it would take an hour and a half with one bus transfer to get to Pioneer Square area. Not true at all. It only took maybe 20 minutes and no transfers.

Once off the bus, out of the station and on the street, I still had a difficult time finding the place. For some reason maps on my phone was just being weird. My best friend, Teri, just moved to Seattle too and she came along with me and her Google Maps on her phone was being weird. We almost got all sorts of lost until I just looked at the streets without directions and just went from there. We actually were only 2 blocks away which was relieving.

As I entered the park I saw a cute little waterfall and I smiled. I looked around and noticed that there weren’t any more waterfalls :( I was sort of bummed there weren’t more, but I didn’t know what to expect before I got there, anyways. There is cute little patio seating to enjoy coffee or take pictures or escape from the craziness of a city. I think knowing it was a sanctuary for some people made me like it so much. I grew up in a suburb of New York City and spent a lot of time there growing up so I understand the need for peace and quiet in a noisy city.

I sat inside the park for a minute to just take in the peacefulness the waterfall gave me and then I was off to my next task! Read more to find out!
