Although frugality has its virtues, sometimes you just have to #treat yourself. When it comes to the finer things in life, Seattle is up there with the best of them. Here are a few ideas to pamper yourself and/or loved ones—as long as money isn’t an object.
Dine at Canlis – Canlis has been known as a restaurant perfect for a very high-end (and high quality) dinner for decades. With food self-described as “comfort geek,” Canlis chefs use molecular gastronomy to craft dishes that are as magnificent to behold as they are to eat.
Live Downtown – Not just anywhere, of course. But Seattle’s downtown corridor, including parts of Belltown and near Pike Place Market, tend to have some really choice apartments. Escala on 4th and Virginia boasts units upwards of $6000/month.
Park Downtown on the Weekend – Due to a growing population, ever-growing numbers of Amazonians and recent efforts by the city to discourage car use in some areas, Seattleites find both street and lot parking a major splurge.
Buy a House in Laurelhurst, on Mercer Island or in Medina – If you’re a real high roller, you might want to consider snapping up some MI or Eastside real estate.
