Kitchen Challenge

Ready, set, cook! The pressure is on with TWIF’s Kitchen Challenge as you join a group of volunteers and, under the guidance of a trained chef, create a meal for 80 people in 90-minutes or less. And to really astound us with your kitchen skills: this is an impromptu menu pulled together on site after assessing what food items are available from the Orion Center pantry.

The Kitchen Challenge will hone your skills as a cook, and more importantly: you’ll help youth on the street keep body and soul together. The feeding program at the Orion Center is integral to staying in touch, building trust, and providing services to Seattle’s street youth.

The group meets at 4:30PM at the Orion Center to prepare the meal, and afterwards you’ll have the opportunity to serve this delicious dish to the youth that utilize the Center.

The World Is Fun invites you to join us and the marvelous mustaches and beautiful beards of Seattle! That's right -- Beard and Stache Fest is back for our fourth annual celebration of Seattle's best facial hair. We're kicking the month of March off at Blue C Sushi and we want you to be there! Remember, this is the only time during the month that you'll see all 150 donation cans (and the furry faces they display) in one place -- it's the perfect time to make sure your vote is with the mustache with the most!

Bring your friends, bring your pocket change, and together we'll change the lives of foster kids and generally revel in all that is facial hair!

Stubble Trouble

Beard and Stache Fest and The World is Fun present: STUBBLE TROUBLE Ever wonder what you'd look like with a big furry beard? Come join us at 9 Million in Fremont at 7pm on Monday March 1st and find out. Enjoy live country music with Tripp Rezac and Ole' Tinder (with names like that, we expect only the most epic of facial hair). Then, see your face up on the big screen! Between the country-good-times music sets, artist Ryan Johnson will be projecting live sketches of the audience while DJ Ty spins an eclectic mix.

Join the Beard & Stache Fest crew for an evening of friends, facial hair & fun at the Beard & Stache Fest Pinball Tournament presented by Shorty's and Depp Roots Tattoo. We'll be there giving away some mustache related swag as well as enjoy some cocktails, tasty hotdogs, frosty beer & some friendly competition as we support the foster kids of King county! Shorty's Beard & Stache Fest Team will be on hand so you will get to revel in all their facial hair glory in person! Think you have what it takes to beat them? Bring it! The tournament winner will receive a $100 Gift Certificate to Deep Roots Tattoo! - $5 entry fee donation to the Shorty's Beard & Stache Fest team member you think has the best facial hair - Matches are best 2 of 3 games on a single machine - Machines are chosen randomly - Entry starts at 6:00 PM, usually at the booth by the change machine - Play begins at 6:30 PM sharp! Sunday, March 4th at 6:00 PM Facial hair not required to participate in the fun!

Beard and Stache Fest and The World is Fun present: The Beehive Juggernauts at Pies & Pints! Join us on March 8th from 8 to 11pm for a night of live music, fun, and a celebration of all things facial hair. Those sporting a beard or mustache will be rewarded handsomely with specials at the bar. Don't worry - faux and fo' real facial hair will be treated equally! So comb your beard, stick on your fake 'stache, and come on out for the best (and beardiest) time!
