Seattle is known for its outdoor public art, mostly sculptures, and the Fremont Troll just adds to the list of Seattle’s outdoor public sculptures. The troll is located in the Fremont neighborhood on N. 36th Street and Troll Avenue under the north end of the Aurora Bridge. The troll was sculpted by four local artists: Steve Badanes, Will Martin, Donna Walter, and Ross Whitehead in 1990.
The troll won a competition sponsored by the Fremont Arts Council in 1990.
