Apr 18 - Earth Day/Duwamish Alive!

  • Pigeon Point Park 1901 Southwest Genesee Street Seattle, WA, 98106 United States

Join us as we volunteer with Nature Consortium in the West Duwamish Greenbelt! The West Duwamish Greenbelt is the largest remaining forest in the city of Seattle and is threatened by the presence of invasive plant such as Himalayan blackberry, English Ivy and Scotch Broom that if left uncontrolled can threaten the growth and survival of native plants. We will be volunteering a collective effort to restore this important urban forest through hands-on restoration work such as invasive plant removal, native tree planting and mulching recently planted areas.

The Nature Consortium is a grassroots, community-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to connect people, arts, and nature.

Shift: Saturday, April 18 from 10am to 2pm
