Seattle is full of unique and interesting neighborhoods. How well do you know this great city? Want to know it even better? Join us for our Know Your Neighborhood event series that will take you on an adventure in one new neighborhood each month.
Think of it as an interactive scavenger hunt where instead of running around like a lunatic looking for rubber chickens, you’ll peruse each neighborhood, learn about its history and interesting quirks, and solve some sort of puzzle to get the “code” for each location. Those that reach each interesting neighborhood point and find the code will then be entered into a drawing to win great prizes from that neighborhood’s great local businesses.
In true TWIF style, each location will begin and end with a party at our home base for the event. The other cool part? All of the day’s fun will support TWIF’s ongoing programs that support Seattle.
Join us this month as we explore Georgetown. Located 5 miles south of downtown Seattle, Georgetown is Seattle's oldest residential neighborhood and currently one on Seattle’s hottest up-and-coming neighborhoods. An independent city from 1904 - 1910, Georgetown is packed full of interesting stories, quirky finds, and unexpected treasures.
