Walk for Rice - Volunteer Information

Can't make it?: Please let us know by emailing volunteer@theworldisfun.org - it will help us plan accordingly.

Where to go: The walk takes place at Seward Park, 5900 Lake Washington Blvd S, Seattle WA, 98118

Is there parking? There is limited street parking. We suggest carpooling or using public transportation. ACRS will have a shuttle to the park from their office: 3639 MLK Jr Way S, Seattle.

When to go: You will want to arrive on-site at the time of your scheduled shift. If you cannot remember the shift time that you registered for, you can look for your shift confirmation from Universe or email volunteer@theworldisfun.org. If you arrive late for your volunteer shift, we may not be able to accommodate you.

How to find us: Once you arrive at the park follow the signs to the walk. The TWIF Lead will meet you there.

TWIF Lead: We have a TWIF Lead at every event to lead the volunteer group. They will be your go-to person for everything you need during the event. Your TWIF Lead will be: Valerie

What to wear: Make sure to wear comfortable close-toed shoes for walking around in. Dress for the weather!

Will we be inside or outside? Outside

Can I bring a friend? We still need volunteers for this event and we would appreciate any efforts you make in helping us find more volunteers. Feel free to tell your friends and co-workers - just make sure they register for a shift here

How does this help? Proceeds from this event go to Asian Counseling and Referral Service Food Bank.

Documentation: Upon request, we will gladly supply you with documentation for your volunteer hours for work or school purposes. We do NOT, however, provide court documentation. We do not believe that volunteering is a punishment and under no circumstances will we provide documentation for court-ordered community service.
