Goal: Fremont Abbey Arts Center aims to create accessible and welcoming experiences where people can learn & develop through education & performance in many different art mediums. Striving to be a community driven, volunteer powered organization, the Abbey is a comfortable space where a wide variety of people from different income levels, skills, ethnicities & backgrounds interact. Both art students & the general public experience high quality performances by artists from Seattle and around the world.

Other Ways to Get Involved:
Events Team (get into concerts for free!) - This is an excellent chance to get hands on experience with Fremont Abbey Arts Center's various events. Responsibilities include ticketing, doors, set up and clean up, and all the various duties it takes to run each event. Your help with our music, dance, visual art, spoken word and the various other events allow us to reach a wide ranging audience for the local arts community in Seattle.
Offsite Arts Team - Coordinate and run arts activities at community events around the Seattle area while sharing the mission and vision of Fremont Abbey Arts Center. Opportunities include: Bumbershoot, Fremont Fair, UW Dawg Daze, YMCA Healthy Kids Day & more.
Abbey Building Maintenance & Repair - The Fremont Abbey is a beautiful old brick church building (originally St Paul’s Lutheran) that went from being vacant in the late 90s, to being a temporary shelter, and then undergoing major renovations in late 2007. Be a part of their Care and Maintenance Team! Helping with anything from painting, varnishing, projects, repurposing, and general maintenance to keep us running smooth for years to come!
