These volunteer opportunities are curated to provide Collective members with opportunities to give back and be social. The World is Fun is on a mission to get Seattleites involved in giving back to their community and they do this by creating volunteer opportunities that people get excited about.
Meal Making at YouthCare
Shift time: Thursday, October 11th from 4:30pm to 7:00pm
Join other Collective members as we adventure out on a social good mission! The World is Fun has organized a volunteer opportunity for us to prepare and serve a meal to homeless youth at YouthCare's Orion Center. Your group will prepare and serve meals for about 40-60 youth.
Location: Orion Center, 1828 Yale Ave, Seattle, WA 98101 (South Lake Union)

Their Mission: YouthCare builds confidence and self-sufficiency for homeless youth by providing a continuum of care that includes outreach, basic services, emergency shelter, housing, counseling, education, and employment training.
Why you are needed: Meals at the Orion Center don't just help youth on the street keep body and soul together: they're key to staying in touch with them, building trust, and providing services.
Age Requirement: 18+
Meal Making at Jubilee Women's Center
Shift time: Wednesday, November 7th from 4 to 8pm
Join other Collective members as we make a community meal at Jubilee Women's Center. venture out on our first social good mission! Volunteers will be preparing a meal in the Jubilee kitchen. After the meal is prepared, volunteers will sit down and eat with the residents and learn about the programs and services Jubilee offers.

Their Mission: Jubilee Women’s Center supports women experiencing poverty to build stable and fulfilling futures, one extraordinary woman at a time. Led by the guiding principle that all women are to be treated with respect and dignity, Jubilee’s programs and services help women make positive, permanent life changes.
How This Helps: Jubilee Women's Center residents have limited food budgets, and community meals provide a wonderful opportunity for volunteers to help out while getting the chance to meet and chat with Jubilee’s residents over a home-cooked dinner.
Age Requirement: 18+
Who can sign up for these events? This opportunity is open to Collective members and a guest.
What is the cancellation policy? Space for this opportunity is limited and we may have a waiting list of people that would like to attend. Once you register for the event we will hold a space just for you so we ask that if, for any reason, you cannot attend your scheduled shift, please make sure to cancel your registration so someone else can take your spot! You can cancel online or by reaching out to our volunteer coordination team.
