Other Ways to Get Involved:
Host a food drive.
Engage your family, friends, and co-workers in a food drive to help us collect nutritious, nonperishable food items. Encourage them to buy a few extra cans of food to donate and help North Helpline sustain their food supply so that they can continue distributing groceries to those in need!
Share a delicious meal at Empty Bowls.
Each year North Helpline joins a long list of food banks nationwide organizing an Empty Bowls event, which aims to bring the community together with local artists, restaurants and musicians with a mission to feed the hungry. At the event, attendees are invited to pick out a one-of-a-kind, locally handcrafted bowl in exchange for a small donation. Then fill your bowl with some delicious soup, salad, bread and dessert as you enjoy live music and support a great cause.
Feast on a good old-fashioned spaghetti dinner while you enjoy great music and you’ve got a fun-filled evening. Do all of that for a great cause an you’ve got the annual North Helpline Spaghetti Dinner.
Food Distribution Volunteers
We are open three days a week for food distribution. On these days, volunteers are needed to hand out food, restock food on the line, carry groceries to cars, assist with line-control, registration and some sorting.
