Special Projects

As we’ve grown over the past seven years, we’ve greatly expanded our wonderful network of partners and friends into a multitude of local resources and downright cool opportunities. When an opportunity arises to do something particularly special for the community, we gather the troops and get to work. Other times, we might realize a particular need for something in the community, and we brainstorm the best ways to provide it. Here are some of our special one-off projects we’re either currently working on, or have done in the past.

TWIF Summit

TWIF Summit will provide inspiration for nonprofit professionals to become outstanding change makers. With the belief that nonprofit professionals are changemakers, we encourage and inspire change by producing an innovative conference specifically designed for those with nonprofit careers. With education tracks focused on volunteer management, technology, and fundrasing, this conference will bring fresh perspectives to attendees.

The artSEA project had a mission to transform, inspire, and invigorate the Seattle community through public art. This project curated public murals throughout Seattle with a focus on the following four areas:

  • To ensure and increase the appreciation and longevity of public art in Seattle.
  • To engage, inspire, and impart a sense of ownership among Seattleites.
  • To foster community ties and support safe neighborhoods.
  • To promote and support Seattle’s own art scene.

Random Acts of Kindness | #Season2Give

We teamed up with our Community Partner Car2Go to bring care packages and warm coffee to those without shelter in Seattle during the holidays. Traveling in a Car2Go caravan, our team of 10 made stops at 8 locations distributing 150 care packages complete with warm socks, hygiene supplies, and non-perishable snacks.

Ninkasi Better Living Room

The Ninkasi Better Living Room

The Ninkasi Better Living Room was formed as a meeting space not just to serve the purposes of The World is Fun, but the Seattle community as a whole. The Ninkasi Better Living Room is a gathering space available to nonprofits, community groups, and other organizations to meet, greet, network and grow. A space to have fun and a space to encourage new and exciting ways of making Seattle a better place to live.
